The Arts Council’s objective is guiding artists through a creative industry by facilitating more and better work. In 2015 it renewed this promise — the largest delivery of funding programs, resources and opportunities were coming online, on every device, and accessible by all.
The Arts Council’s plans are ambitious, and rightly so. The project is never actually finished as the team’s strategy unfolds and evolves in requirements. Luckily, we developed a processes to align with those of the result-driven organisation. It worked so well we had to name it: One-In-Ten.
The One-in-Ten approach works with one simple rule: Reach one objective every ten productive days. It thrives on practicality and ensures clarity amongst cross functional teams. When we know which rope to pull, and have clear view of the prize, good things happen. With a website, a bespoke CMS and plenty of other products on the way, the Arts Council took us through a journey of fine tuning the way we build software. Here’s how it happened.
